Itinerary
Today our safari Adventure begins! After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. The park is well known for its large elephant herds and abundance of Ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in the continent). From the open roof of the vehicle we will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River which is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs and elephants. The picnic site has a spectacular view. We will have our picnic lunch there and proceed with game viewing before continuing to the selected accommodation, where we will be able to relax and enjoy dinner and have an overnight.
Today we will have an early breakfast and drive towards the crater immediately. It will be a 2-hours’ drive. This stunning place will offer you with almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino and if we are lucky, we might spot one. We will then have our picnic lunch at the Hippo Lake and continue with our game drive. Later, we will head back to our accommodation to relax, enjoy dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we will have a short drive to the park’s gate. Also known as the home of the tree climbing lions, Lake Manyara is a relatively small but diverse park, with a Salt Lake covering large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons making it a home to thousands of flamingos and over 300 other bird species. Its diverse landscape offers grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. We expect to be back in Moshi or Arusha around 4 pm, although we are flexible in case there is a flight to catch. Extra Day You will have a chance to choose to do a day trip to Kikuletwa hot springs or Materuni Waterfalls.
